Four-count box breath

Extended physiological exhale

Progressive shoulder release

Inhale smoothly through your nose for four seconds, hold gently for four, exhale quietly for four, and pause empty for four. Repeat four cycles to lower elevated heart rate.

Draw a normal breath inward, top it off with a short second sip of air, then release through parted lips for eight slow counts. This mechanical sigh signals immediate safety.

Gently draw your shoulders upward toward your ears on an inhale, hold for three seconds, then let gravity drop them completely on the exhale to disarm postural bracing.

Curated micro-rituals

Practices for your day

Select an unhurried sequence matched to your present energy. Each exercise takes under eight minutes and requires only a chair or a quiet patch of floor.

Morning window breath

Midday desk unclench

Nightfall sleep scan

Sit quietly with warm water or tea before opening screens. Five minutes of steady diaphragmatic breathing to ground attention before answering digital demands.

A discreet seated pause between meetings. Release jaw clenching, soften eye strain, and perform three long sighing exhales without leaving your desk chair.

Lie flat on your back in bed with lights dimmed. Slowly travel awareness from forehead to toes, giving each muscle group explicit permission to rest.

Gentle daily support

These exercises support general everyday wellbeing and nervous system regulation. They are educational resources, not clinical medical treatment or psychological therapy.
